Has anyone played with viewing 3D PDF's on Linux? A sample file is http://www.3dpdfmaker.com/index.php/download_file/force/339/ Okular opens the file. But it does not support the 3D parts. There is a claim that Acroread on all platforms supports 3D. I have not used that in ages. Just curious. -- Roger Oberholtzer -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Well, you will need an up to date Acroread, and there is none since years. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.3 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)

You are right, it works. The file simply contains the code to "run" the view. Looks rather a proof of concept. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.3 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)

We are adding support for the LAS file format (LiDAR point clouds). A customer has asked for DWG support for point clouds. And now 3D PDF. We are trying to decide how to proceed. Our preference is to get one format as fully supported as we can, and then point the users at conversion tools that solve their specific needs. I don't think 3D PDF will be our go-to format. -- Roger Oberholtzer -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

some time ago, I managed to install last acroread version from play on linux (so windows version), that, of course, works perfectly with this file. It asks for permission, one can accept only this one file or any file I accepted this one in the hope you wont try to trick me :-)) jdd -- http://dodin.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
