I am checking the Xfree86 log and it does not load any TV tuner drivers. What log file are you refeering to? /var/log/messages or /var/log/XFree86.0.log. Look in /var/log/XFree86.0.log for the load of modules like fi1236 or msp3430 they are LiViD's drivers specific modules. Anyway, did you try to launch XawTV? If yes, what does it says?
