I ran YAST Online Update last night and now I have a lot of problems, some of which I haven't found yet. I got lot of these during a YOU update on 08/22/2006 - Some were really scary because of the package update being performed. The update icon hasn't work in a while so this is hardly a nuisance: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object in <0x003d6> Novell.Zenworks.Gui.ZenTrayIcon:CheckUpdatesLoop () in (wrapper delegate-invoke) System.MulticastDelegate:invoke_void () Smart seems to have died, hangs on the media repo's. Yast Online Update now appears to be broken as well. It is showing updates that have already been done, succesfully but doesn't seem to want to do any further updating. I have to say that it seems with every update, openSUSE 10.1 get more broken, not a good thing. Clint

Your RPM database is for some strange reason broken. Likely due to an earlier crash of RPM, a hardware or filesystem error or similar. This confuses both ZMD and YAST. Please run "rpm --rebuilddb" once.
