Even though it is a new CD I bet you burned one bit and that will forever destroy it. Try another disk. I also use "cdrecord -v -eject fs=6 dev=ATAPI0,0,0 file.iso" as I remember.
This occurs with every cd. ~James

Can't say if this will fix your issues, but when ever I get errors, I burn at slower speed. Always fixes any issues on other OS's. (OS9, OSX, XP) I don't remember if I ever had issues or even burned a CD in SUSE. DVD's yes, CD's no. Then when I change brands, it may go away - but not always. (and don't believe the crap with the name brands being better. We have had more errors with name brands than with store name ones. Someone has to make them...we have burned thousands and thousands of CD's) Slow it down- -- Thanks, George "America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." -Abraham Lincoln
