renamed the XF86Config file fro /etc/X11 and ran sax2 again. It says it is starting but then my monitor goes into a sleeping phase after a minute or so. No more activities, a new config file which has the same size and content as the older one and still no X. I can come back in console with several times enter. Is the S3 Savage 4 perhaps the problem? Anybody with this card? Ba>On Saturday 14 June 2003 13:24, Constant Brouerius van Ba>Nidek wrote: Ba>> Sax2 does not work at the moment. It stops at the Ba>very beginning. It is certainly starting to sound as if that may be your problem. I don't remember from the XFree86 list if that card is supported or even works. I remember something about it coming up in the mails, but do not remember what was said. You might want to check the archives there to see if you can find anything or better yet, get another card, maybe big brand name this time?
