Does anyone know the correct syntax to form a nesting YP netgroup for use with NFS exports? I have tried: group1 (machineA,,) (machineB,,) (machineC,,) group2 (machineD,,) (machineE,,) (machineF,,) group3 (machineG,,) (machineH,,) (machineI,,) group_all (group1) (group2) (group3) and in exports on the file-server file_system @group_all(ro,root_squash,sync) The file-server will reject the requests, but accept the individual groups: file_system @group1(ro,root_squash,sync) ... I have also tried other combinations but without joy. Looking into the GUN manual on http://www.gnu.org/software/libc/manual/html_node/Netgroup-Data.html#Net group-Data I would have thought the above syntax should work...
