apt-get ~ unable to remove ~ directory not empty
Hello, Richard Bos please excuse my asking you : After a successful apt-get upgrade , the program executes RPM -U ~ however, I see some 'protests' , like, " unable to remove . . . directory not empty" I did not act fast enough to write down the offending directory, but, I think it was : /opt/kde3/share/applnk Hmmm ~ would it be in order to delete these NOT empty directories, OR, could this lead me into "Deep Dodo"/ trouble ? thanks best wishes, rh ____________ sent on Linux ____________

Hello, Richard Bos

This is just an message from rpm, you would get the same message whether you would use YOU, plain rpm, kpackage, etc.
I did not act fast enough to write down the offending directory, but, I think it was :
/opt/kde3/share/applnk
Hmmm ~ would it be in order to delete these NOT empty directories, OR, could this lead me into "Deep Dodo"/ trouble ?
This directory provides your kde menu structure. I would not remove the directory, as would give you trouble in case you're using kde..... -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless
