[opensuse] Which facility provides new Hardware Detection?
Hi!, I know that this days OS (and GNU/Linux in general) can detect automagically most hardware, the other day a guy asked me what would be the equivalent to RedHat's Kudzu in SLES/Opensuse and I wasn't sure what to answer, Kudzu is a service that provides with a wizard for new hardware detection and configuration for what I've heard, but I don't think we use/need anything like that... If kudzu just provides with configuration wizards according to the new detected hardware and doesn't do the actual detection, that would make more sense... Hmm, given that hal/udev/devicekit is kind of generic, kudzu seems redundant indeed...
