Linux 2.6.18.2-34-(default) i686 is not the same as nvidia-gfx-(kmp-bigsmp). You need to select the nvidia driver that matches your installed kernel. Here you have the "default" kernel installed and you are trying to install a driver for the "kmp-bigsmp" kernel. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
Ok. So how bout this: My currently installed NVIDIA Driver is nvidia-gfx-kmp-default-1.0.9631_2.6.18.2_34-0.1 - NVIDIA gfx driver kernel module Everything works fine except for 3D. Why is this? Thanks Mike Harris On Fri, 2007-03-02 at 14:31 -0600, Mike Harris wrote:

Have you tried the nvidia-gfx-kmp-default driver instead? -- Joseph Loo jloo@acm.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
I actually have the nvidia-gfx-kmp-default driver
installed, but 3D still does not work.
My goal is to get 3D working.

What means "not working"? Some how it looks like you are running an older version of SUSE 10.0 or 10.1? If that is true, you might have to enable the 3d setup under SAX. I know under 10.3, it is not necessary. -- Joseph Loo jloo@acm.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
