[SLE] Source package for 'passwd' command
Does anyone know which package contain the source code for the command 'passwd'? I needed a batch version of passwd that would take all the required input from the arguments instead asking interactive questions. I browsed through the source package list but have no luck. -Philip -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Hum.... bash-2.03# rpm -qf /bin/passwd shadow-19990709-5 bash-2.03# This is the shadow-* package. As usual, you can find it in the /zq* section of your SuSE CD's or, if you don't have them, on ftp.suse.com in the zq section of your distribution. ciao ________________ Nicolas Beaulieu Economics Department, Universite Laval Centre de Recherches en Economie et Finances Appliquees (CREFA) Quebec, Canada 418-626-5033 _________________ http://www.penguinpowered.com/~montesquieu mailto:montesquieu@penguinpowered.com ICQ 15933500 ---> http://www.ccfa.org <--- ---> http://www.ccfc.ca <--- _________________ Le Renard: "Voici mon secret. `newusers' is for creating users or updating user information in batch mode. You just have to create a file that has /etc/passwd's format and run `newusers <file>': [root]/home/sttr# cat newpasswds sttr:secret::::: [root]/home/sttr# newusers newpasswds Now user sttr has the password `secret'. The empty fields like name, home directory and login shell are preserved.
