Hi, Can any one help? I run 6.2 on a laptop. At work I have a permanent link, whilst at home I use dial up. I cannot access my isp's smtp server directly from work (due to strange nature on the NHSnet firewall) - and thus have to route all smtp mail to an NHS smtp relay. Then at home chage settings and send direct to smtpmail.isp.net. What I would like to be able to do is to have sendmail send to one or the other depending upon either the environment or a simple command. I have been using mew under emacs for the experiments so another solution might be a command direct to mew. Problem is - I haven't figured out where to look to find a way of doing this. Any pointers anyone? Is it not possible to load different configuration files with Sendmail (-C option, IIRC) ? Or, to change the smarthost entry in the sendmail.cf depending on what you want to use, eg. if you dial up with ISP1, then ensure the smarthost variable is set for ISP1's smarthost. I do something similar with Postfix, and you're welcome to have a copy of the sed script I use if you think it would be of any usefulness. -- Darren Wyn Rees merlin@netlink.co.uk ASK your ISP to ADD the NEW england.* Newsgroups http://www.england.news-admin.org/accessfaq.html -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
