[opensuse] Needed package(s) to rip CDs to mp3 format
What packages are required to be able to rip audio CD content to mp3 format? For example, when usng Sound Juicer, I only have the option to produce output in FLAC, WAV, or ogg. Thanks. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

If you want something gtk based and straight forward, may I recommend grip. Cheers, Curtis. -- Spammers Beware: Trespassers will be shot, survivors will be shot again! I don't want a politician I can believe in. I simply want a politician I can believe!

Though I highly recommend .ogg format - it just sounds better - I understand you may be stuck using the inferior .mp3 format. You need LAME or liblame or something like that. (Search for lame at a repository near you.) Here's a little something I wrote about the process last year... http://www.perfectreign.com/?q=node/27 -- kai - theperfectreign@yahoo.com www.perfectreign.com || www.4thedadz.com www.filesite.org || www.donutmonster.com wo ist der ort für den ehrlichsten kuss ich weiss, dass ich ihn für uns finden muss... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
