[opensuse] German aspell dictionary in leap-15.0?
Hello, On opensuse leap-15.0, I get this error from emacs: Error enabling Flyspell mode: (Fehler: No word lists can be found for the language "de_DE".) It looks, as if the aspell-de package is no longer available. Is this by intent? -- Josef Wolf jw@raven.inka.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Hmmm ... that is worth a bug report sudo zypper se aspell | grep -iE 'deutsch|german' | wc -l 0 sudo zypper se aspell | grep aspell- | wc -l 93 Werner -- "Having a smoking section in a restaurant is like having a peeing section in a swimming pool." -- Edward Burr

There's a German-English-German dictionary at https://dict.leo.org/german-english/battery in which you can enter a word in either language and get the equivalent in the other one. Also there are Langenscheidt's dictionaries available one language apiece. --doug -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Do either integrate well with emacs? -- Per Jessen, Zürich (19.3°C) http://www.cloudsuisse.com/ - your owncloud, hosted in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I have no idea, but the Langenscheidts lets you mark and paste to your emacs. The other one, which is handier if you need to go both ways, does not seem to let you mark a word. --doug -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

That's not the same. In flyspell mode, emacs will mark typos on the fly, while you are typing your email (or whatever). That's not exactly the same as going to a website, typing your word there and cut/paste it into your editor. Or do you type your email into some website and cut/paste it into your mail-editor? -- Josef Wolf jw@raven.inka.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
