online update aborts without message or core file
SITUATION: I been trying to run YaST Online Update (YOU) from the text version of yast2. I've tried both the automatic method and the manual method. Both were from ftp.suse.com. First it was running out of space so I am now mounting /tmp on a NFS file system with 5 gig. PROBLEM: Now YOU just returns to a command prompt where I have to do "stty sane" to bring sanity to my tty session. HARDWARE: I am running this on a pentium 100MHz box. Any suggestions on where I can go from here?

1)rather then ftp.suse.com if suitable for your area try a mirror site 2) download the rpm's and manualy install them ie rpm -Uhv xxx.rpm 3) create a mirror of the ftp locally and apply from there hth -- Togan Muftuoglu Unofficial SuSE FAQ Maintainer http://dinamizm.ath.cx
^ 3) create a mirror of the ftp locally and apply from there How can I setup the ftp mirror locally? I have downloaded a bunch of packages but would like to be able to use them to update other machines and the idea of a local mirror on my network is great. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
