[opensuse] What is the current HowTo to get suspend to RAM working on Leap?
All, What is the current link for getting s2ram working on Leap? I find https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Suspend_to_RAM but that appears a bit old. I would like to get suspend working on my laptop, what is a good link to do this with leap? -- David C. AFAIK, there is none. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R. Oh joy... What package provides s2ram? I was `suspend`, but I tried installing it with Leap and got 'suspend' not found? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.

on my kde I have an option Start (gecko)/start and stop/suspend but if it suspend very fast, it don't resume (hard reboot needed) jdd -- http://dodin.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

The strange thing is suspend (sleep) works just fine. I close the laptop lid, and it goes to sleep, and I open the lid, presto the nvidia card springs back to life and KDE3 is just the way I left it. What I want to know is how do I manually put it to sleep from the command line. 's2ram` is not present on my system at all, but the laptop lid close is correctly configured on boot?? It is probably now handled by... (some new name I probably can't pronounce and I don't know where it is hidden)? What is that thing :( -- David C. No, don't even try. Systemd superseded it. The current incantation is: systemctl suspend - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R.
