Re: [suse-kde] java developer kit
ok, i download it. And it says it needs JDK. I do have new questions now. I already installed JRE1.4...._02. Do i have to still install JDK? And if Yes do i have to keep JRE ? Because this box is very limited. It is Pentium 133, 96 MB RAM. And i have about 120 MB space left. This is just for homeworks and learning linux and its applications. any comments wellcome and appreciated emin -- --------- Original Message --------- DATE: Wed, 22 Oct 2003 09:08:16 From: Steffen Petter <spetter@web.de> To: suse-kde@suse.com Cc:

Hi everyone, I need a user friendly and easy to handle java development gui program similar to Jcreator( That's the one i use in my M$ box, but i would like to write and run my programs in Linux. any help and recommendation appreciated emin
I don't know Jcreator but I would suggest to use JBuilder ore SUN ONE Studio (Community Edition). For enterprise use I would take Eclipse.

JDK is a superset of the JRE. You can remove your JRE and then install your JDK which will have the JRE in it. I don't know how to load (from the web) only the "developer's" part of the JDK. In my machine, a "du" of j2sdk1.4.2_02 yields 93.324MB.
