[S.u.S.E. Linux] Download Problems
Wondering if anyone else has this problem. I'm trying to download the KDE beta 4. Every file downloads fine except kbase. It gets only a few bytes and hangs. I've tried other mirrors and the same happens. I've tried console, xftp and someother ftp client and no luck. I'm thinking I might have to resort to getting it with Windows! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! Please help! ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at <A HREF="http://www.hotmail.com</A">http://www.hotmail.com</A> - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e

If you have access to a shell account to your ISP servers, telnet to your account and then kick off ncftp from there to get the file. When downloading many/huge files I usually use this method since the downloads occur faster and then I download them from ISP account to my machine. In my experience, downloading this way has had given me better success rate.
