I no longer have the mail from the fellow in Indonesia, but I have looked up the Indonesian TV standards on the net, at www.tenlab.com/worldtv.htm and found that the standard is PAL B and PAL G, with a color subcarrier at 4.433618 MHz, and a sound carrier at 5.5 MHz. There are 625 lines, 50 fields. The horizontal oscillator frequency is 15.625 KHz, and the vertical frequncey is 50 Hz. If you plug these numbers into the program, I would assume everything would work. If not, I have gone as far as I can. Good luck. --doug

Hi Doug, I do not know if Constant is watching the list at present, so I will reply. He did not initially have the xawtv sources and was new to compiling. However after a couple of tries he got it working and altered the values for the #defines which appeared to set the differential between picture and sound carriers in frequencies.h. He reported back that this was having no effect at all. I found that surprising and grepped all the sources for use of the #define'd constants. I came up with nothing - even though frequencies.h is included in various other files it would appear that the constants are not referenced. I can only assume either that I do not understand the code (quite possible) or that the constants were once used but that their work is now done by something else. Constant said that he would email the maintainer to see if he could help. Regards, Geoff _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
