OpenOffice.org with Danish i18n
How do I set my OpenOffice.org to use Danish menus etc.? I installed the Danish i18n rpm, but OOo keeps speaking English to me. I am running SuSE 9.0 Personal and all KDE menues etc. are in Danish. -j -- My baby daughter loves Linux! <http://idun.sandsgaard.dk/archives/000564.html> <http://idun.sandsgaard.dk/archives/000556.html> <http://idun.sandsgaard.dk/archives/000563.html>

I did that allready. I installed the language independent OOo + the Danish i18n from SuSE. That should do it, but maybe I need to configure something somewhere? -j -- My baby daughter loves Linux! <http://idun.sandsgaard.dk/archives/000564.html> <http://idun.sandsgaard.dk/archives/000556.html> <http://idun.sandsgaard.dk/archives/000563.html>

Danish. Solved the problem by removing all other i18n rpms than the Danish one. OOo then started with an error message, but is now in Danish. Strange. Normally it's possible to have different i18n's installed. -j -- My baby daughter loves Linux! <http://idun.sandsgaard.dk/archives/000564.html> <http://idun.sandsgaard.dk/archives/000556.html> <http://idun.sandsgaard.dk/archives/000563.html>

I'm not sure but the very first launch of OOo check what language to use and then installs local files. Maybe at that time you have had an English? But this is just my guessing. All the Best, -- Marek Chlopek

I think you are right. Then when the Enlish i18n files were gone it was forced to run the script again. This time with Danish. Still strange that it is not possible to change "on the fly" like other Linux applications. -j -- My baby daughter loves Linux! <http://idun.sandsgaard.dk/archives/000564.html> <http://idun.sandsgaard.dk/archives/000556.html> <http://idun.sandsgaard.dk/archives/000563.html>
