Hi Stephan, If you can slove this one I would also really like to know how. It works if you open a user shell and ssh root@hostname but not if you su - From what I've seen, if you open a shell with "su -", you need to manually export the display: $ xhost + $ su - # export DISPLAY=:0
for more details on DISPLAY environment variable, you can consult the X manual :). On desktops is :0 (or localhost:0.0) most times. Cheers, L
