Hi there folks! I am about to create a filesharing server which will have the following characteristics PIII-350 128 MB ram HD1 : 10 GB HD2 : 30 GB HD3: 30 GB The whole idea is to have SuSE Linux 7.2 on HD1 and make HD1 & HD2 Raid1 with Software-Raid to have complete rebundancy. I have never done this before. I would really appreciate any good manual, site, notes, www pages that you could recommend. I am feeling very nervous about this since I have never done anything similar in my life. Thank you all for your help!!!!!!! Chris

The Raid will be done on HD2 & HD3 and not HD1 and HD2 mentioned bellow!

It's not hard at all, at least with new distributions, you can set up a RAID1 array (mirroring) at the installation time from YaST. I would definitely use a newer SuSE (for many reasons), not 7.2, but if that's all you have...
