Preventing applications from starting automatically
I've just upgraded from 7.1 to 9 and I now seem to have lpd, sshd and sendmail fired up automatically. I'm not using any of these, so I'd like to stop them firing up. Can someone tell me how to do that, or give me a reference to something that explains how to do it? Thanks, alan lenton

Arrgh! No wonder I couldn't find anything in Yast2 - that module hadn't been installed! Many thanks for the rapid help - this list proves its utility once again :) Regards, Alan -- http://www.ibgames.net/alan Registered Linux user #6822 http://counter.li.org Winding Down - Weekly Tech Newsletter - subscribe at http://www.ibgames.net/alan/winding/mailing.html
