How do I install true type fonts in xfree86 4 and make them available to all programs? I'm running SuSE 7.2 and KDE 2.
See the SDB document "Configure font anti-aliasing in SuSE Linux 7.2" http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/chofman_ttf_72.html. TT fonts installation is described in section 3.
I know about xfstt (from the font-how-to ) but it looks like its for xfree86 3 rather than 4 (since for has built in support for tt fonts).
Yes, xfstt is not needed for XFree86 4. -- Alexandr.Malusek@imv.liu.se
