tell you what this is getting a bit rich now I now got 10.3x86_64 tellnig me YaST got signal 11 at YCP file OnlineUpdateCallbacks.ycp:524 /sbin/yast2: line 386: 8913 Segmentation fault $ybindir/y2base $module "$@" "$SELECTED_GUI" $Y2_GEOMETRY $Y2QT_ARGS it wont update with zypper either just get Segmentation fault ideas ..?. I'd try another repo. I just updated 3 10.3 installs tonight without any issues. (2 i586, 1 x86_64) You don't have the qt45 repo enabled by chance do you? If so, disable it, re-enable the qt44 repo, and downgrade all qt packages back to 44. I was bitten by that on 11.0 2 weeks ago - I had no clue. It took Anders to solve that one. My thread from 1/22 was titled "Yast Seg Faulting on Fresh 11.0 i386 Install". I didn't keep the full thread, but you can search the archives for it. Hi David I have tried the downgrade of yast ect yesterday to no avail still get the same response to be fair i am not sure how long this has been playing up like this , It is on this machine which is my main desktop machine it has been perfectly stable for ages on 10.3 and was rock solid on 10.3a3 but i do not have it automaticaly update i tried to run the update acouple of days ago and this was the result so bit up a gum tree and i so hate having to reinstall systems that is a windBloWs thing and most anoying if it will not play the game think it is going to be new Drive time install on that then at least i got a full working system with all my data ect on it Cheers Pete . -- SuSE Linux 10.3-Alpha3.
