I know this is stupid, but does anyone know how to get audio working in flash7 under 9.2 professional. I really would like to hear the audio from the jibjab movies

I have some flash movies with sound, and it works. I can see it and hear in Konqueror or with RealPlayer. Does your sound working at all? -- Mirko

The problems I had with flash were related to the sound server locking /dev/dsp at the time flash started up. It seems that Flash, upon failing to grab /dev/dsp, will not try again until its restarted. If you just don't do anything that involves sound, esd or arts will eventually give up the sound device for a moment. If, at that point, you start up a browser that was previously closed (or at least hadn't loaded any flash clips while it was closed), then go to your flash-with-sound pages, you should have sound. You might be able to fix it by launching the browser with esddsp or artsdsp, or something like that which may "trick" flash to use your preferred sound server instead of directly accessing the sound device. Then again, that may not work. If no one else knows, you'll just have to play with it some in order to figure out what works for you. --Danny
