DO NOT send the power pack. I have several laying around the house and its too heavy anyway.
OK
DO send the cables, cards etc. Even if I don't need it, I can put them in my junk box. That box has saved my bacon more than once. BTW does this MoBo have USB? If so, I'll need that cable too.
OK. Also have a powered usb hub which I will send along. I think we're talking usb1 here though.
DO WRITE on the box "Gift worth less than 50$ US" on the outside. This will (I hope) keep the custom thugs off my back.
OK
DO send it airmail. Please use STAMPS! In fact please use high value stamps as much as possible, ie over 10$ face value. I collect stamps and high value US are VERY hard to find. Even if I have the stamp I can always trade it for something else. To put stamps on a package you will have to take the package to the post office WITH A 2x4 in your hands! Tell the clerk BEFORE you start that you want STAMPS! Otherwise he will quickly stick a meter on, which is worthless. (As you can see, I know what I'm talking about.) A good way of handling this is tell him that the package is going to a stamp collector.
OK
As soon as I get it I will send you either cash or a personal check for the postage (I have a checking account in the US) according to how much the postage is and how much cash I have in my cookie jar. I will at the same time send you 10 or so CDs of mixed OTR shows. BTW can you use DVDs? If so, I just got by mistake a video DVD of the Green Hornet series from the 1950s. I don't have a DVD so I can't use it.
Have a dvd - send it.
Who is your favorite "non-rock" singer?
Any and all of the old-timers. crooners, pop, big band etc.
Would you be interested in the 1941 radio news from Pearl Harbor? Or are you more into Vietnam?
Not into Vietnam. Don't remember Pearl Harbor but do remember listening to the description of dropping the a-bombs in Japan and to VE & VJ days on the radio as a child.. So I guess I am an Oldtimer. Will try to get that packaged up tomorrow and get it out on Monday or the latest Tuesday. Question: Are you an american ? Your use of english certainly suggests that. and what is the deal on the Anti-US Propaganda stamp collection. I hope that you are not one of the many US-bashers prevelant in Germany these days. Tried to visit the site but it wouldn't load. Bob Stia
