can a person using 7.3 load a file for 8.0?
Abiword has a *.rpm file for SuSE 8.0. Can a person using 7.3 load that file with the same success as would be the case had the system been 8.0? Thanks dj tuchler

Dry-run the installation with with rpm -Uvvh --test abiword*.rpm. -- The light at the end of the tunnel is the headlight of an approaching train.

~ maybe, using "apt-get install abiword" is the smoothest path, whereas apt-get will look after the 'dependencies' automagically. -- best wishes ____________ sent on Linux ____________

I wanted to suggest the same, more info about APT at http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm What's the reason to install the 8.0 instead of the 7.3 version. Aren't they both the same version? -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless
