Hi, I just notice that my Software RAID 1 is not working properly. 2 partitions are not sync. I check it using 'more /proc/mdstat'. It happens twice in last 6 months. komodo:~ # more /proc/mdstat Personalities : [raid1] md1 : active raid1 sda5[0] 6297344 blocks [2/0] [UU] md2 : active raid1 sdb6[1] sda6[0] 2104384 blocks [2/2] [UU] md3 : active raid1 sdb7[1] sda7[0] 68573312 blocks [2/2] [UU] md4 : active raid1 sdb8[1] 513984 blocks [0/2] [UU] md0 : active raid1 sdb1[1] sda1[0] 104320 blocks [2/2] [UU] I know that it just need mdadm -d /dev/md4 /dev/sda8 synchronize it. Is there any scripts that i can use so whenever RAID goes wrong it will mail me ? I'm using suse 10.0 regards, -- Arie Reynaldi Zanahar reymanx at gmail.com http://www.reynaldi.or.id -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Look into configuring mdadm monitoring in /etc/sysconfig/mdadm and
man -S 8 mdadm
