[SLE] How to lock KWM on KDE2?
Yesterday I installed the KDE2 packages from the SuSE ftp-server. I would like to continue using KDM as default display manager. How do I lock the "session" list-box in the login-screen on KDE2, so that I don't get the choices between all the other window-managers, fvwm etc.? Thanks in advance. The solution is to change /opt/kde2/share/config/kdmrc so that only kde2 is listed. SessionTypes=kde2,fvwm,failsafe -> SessionTypes=kde2 Changing DEFAULT_WM only changes the default windowmanager a user gets at first login, but still gives the user a choice at login. Try changing the following entry in your /etc/rc.config file, should do what you want. DEFAULT_WM="kde2"
havn't tried it personally, but it seems logical that that would do it. Let me know if it works.

Thanks. I'll give it a try
SessionTypes=kde2,fvwm,failsafe -> SessionTypes=kde2
Changing DEFAULT_WM only changes the default windowmanager a user gets at first login, but still gives the user a choice at login.
Yep, I discovered that. Best regards, David List -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

I did. I still get the different choices in a list-box with the display-manager. Best regards, David List -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
