That is not good. I will wait to see if anyone else has a better option but surely when an important update is released we should be able to apply it through online update. Another small point. On non SUSE installations there is an object in the upper right corner of Firefox which alerts you to updates, automatically downloads updates and if you click it it takes you to firefox update site. On SUSE-10 this appears to have been changed so it no longer does auto-update and if you click it it takes you to a Novell Site. Is this a case of the OS hijacking a piece of software to their own ends? On Wed, 2006-02-08 at 21:25 -0700, E. Hoon Shim wrote:
That is exactly what I did to upgrade to Firefox 1.5.1.

How does one update Firefox in Suse-10. According to my setup I am running Firefox 1.07-01 If I run yast update it tells me latest version available is 1.0.6-16. I think I should be running 1.5-01 How the heck do I get there. Surely I do not have to resort to downloading an rpm and manually installing do I?

You must think he's talking about installing via tarball. Look here: ftp://ftp4.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/10.0-i386/RPMS.mozilla This assumes you're running 10.0 x86. If you're running an earlier or 64 bit SUSE, start drilling down from here: ftp://ftp4.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE regards, Carl
