Do the new SuSE kernels (2.2.16) have all the patches required for FreeSWAN to work properly, or do I still need to apply these patches and rebuild? - Herman Lenz Grimmer wrote:

Hi Thanks for the new kernel 2.2.16, but I just want to know if the lx_suse.rpm dated the 2000/06/24 is the correct package, as all the other packages are dated the 2000/06/26. Before I download 20MB
lx_suse.rpm is the package containing the kernel _sources_ (including patches), while k_*.rpm are the compiled kernel images and modules. The binaries have been placed on the server after our Autobuild system compiled all these packages.

Here's the answer from the FreeSWAN maintainer: [SNIP] About our freeswan package: It patches the kernel in order to build. Afterwards the module can be used on an unpatched(!!!) kernel, so installing the package is enough.
