I followed the links to http://en.opensuse.org/Download where there is an option to purchase a boxed version. That link still takes you to 10.1. Is there no way to pre order the boxed version? I understand it will not be available until mid December. Thanks -- Russ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Bye, Steve in the "software" list (at the bottom) price $59.99
and the air shipment is $10 anywhere on the world (say France, Australia, South Africa tested), what seems reasonable jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/mediawiki/index.php/GPS_Lowrance_GO -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Does the boxed set contain any software that's not available in the download packages? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

The box contains a manual, installation support, 6 CDs and a double-layer DVD-9 which contains more than the sum of packages on the downloadable DVDs. All packages of the DVD-9 (and more) are available in the FTP repository. Is this list outdated then?
What about textmaker, planmaker, MainActor in 10.2, are they still there? Ciao Siegbert -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Nice to here, textmaker and planmaker are good applications. Maybe Novell should state this difference between the boxed sets and the download versions somewhere more obvious to sell some more boxes? I think these are on the non-oss DVD which one can download. Because the download DVD is only single layer and can't hold everything. And probably just to keep oss and non-oss distinct. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems AB Ramböll Sverige AB Kapellgränd 7 P.O. It has been said many times here: Everything (and more) in the *boxed* set is available from the ftp site. The DVD(9) has more than the download DVD, but those missing (and more) are available from the ftp site. AISI, the only *advantage* of the boxed set is the *paper* user manual, money going to Novell and the public statement that a copy of SUSE has been sold/purchased. And a warm feeling in your heart. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 OpenSUSE Linux http://en.opensuse.org/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Yes, you're right, I just checked, MainActor, textmaker and planmaker are indeed on the download DVD. O.k., it says "Demo version" in rpm -qip MainActor-5-5.5.7-42.i586.rpm but nothing is written for textmaker and planmaker about demo versions. Astonishing, as these are commercial software packets, which cost more than the SUSE DVD, see here:
http://www.softmaker.com/english/ofl_en.htm http://www.softmaker.com/english/oflpm_en.htm
Are the versions on the DVD just evaluation ones or otherwise crippled? Or how did Novell manage to give them away for free? *astonished* Ciao Siegbert -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
