As an added clarifying note, Netscape's mail clients on any platform can also be be culpable for this.. as I am sure there are several others. The moral of course, is to be aware of what kind of messages you are sending out to hundreds of users who use many different applications to read your notes. If your email contains formatted text when you look at it after it has returned to you on the SuSE list, then you need to dig into your preferences and change it to Plain Text Only.
