As an added clarifying note, Netscape's mail clients on any platform can also be be culpable for this.. as I am sure there are several others. The moral of course, is to be aware of what kind of messages you are sending out to hundreds of users who use many different applications to read your notes. If your email contains formatted text when you look at it after it has returned to you on the SuSE list, then you need to dig into your preferences and change it to Plain Text Only. This is a Linux mailing list. Very few of the people here are using M$ Windows to read your e-mails. It would be nice if people who are still using Microsoft mail clients would tell the client to format out-going e-mail as text, the only truly portable e-mail format.
I really hate loading X Windows just to read a couple of e-mails.
