I suppose you could volunteer for the linux documentation project. Check out http://metalab.unc.edu/mdw/index.html for more information Cheers, GC -- Gregory Conron gconron@hfx.andara.com - email (902) 443-4562 - voicemail -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

You can head over to the Linux Documentation Project at http://www.linuxdoc.org or the Open Source Writer's Guild. Both of those may be good places to start. Jim Ray

Good idea, Bob! I've thought about downloading the latest SuSE documentation, translating the German still in it, correcting the english, and sending it back to SuSE. How about it, SuSE? Would it be easier to run all the documents though something like babblefish and then correcting all the mistakes the translater made? In SuSE 6.3 all the documents are in German, is this a bug or did they forget the translate them before release? If you need any help, I would be willing to pitch in 5-15 hours a week for the effort. Using babblefish was amoung my plans. I use babblefish quite a bit when I encounter non-english email, newsgroup or web page stuff, but babblefish can sometimes create a confusing mess that only non-artificial intelligence can make sense of! ;-) And sometimes, when it transliterates, nothing helps. Jack, What I really had in mind was to take the published manual and submit corrections to this email list, giving page number, text as published and corrected text, on a page by page basis. That way it could become a suse-list activity and SuSE could harvest the corrections from the list. Things could use a brush-up here and there. But all in all, it is quit acceptable. Koos Pol ---------------------------------------------------------------------- S.C. Koos and I could work together; we're both Dutch, and I think we could form more 'workgroups' (sorry!) so we can help eachother make the best manual available! Rogier Koos Pol wrote:
