[S.u.S.E. Linux] A good gnu list?
I have been attempting to get some stuff to compile on solaris and am finding that gnu is a real b**** to figure out. Can anybody point me to a good gnu list? TIA Steve - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
Hmm, GNU stand's for "Gnu's not unix", if that helps you figure it out (yes, I'm kidding). Since GNU isn't anything that can be compiled on any platform, could you be more specific? There is a lot of GNU software, most of the vital components of the linux os are covered by the GNU General Public License, or GPL, and you can go to <A HREF="http://www.gnu.org"><A HREF="http://www.gnu.org</A">http://www.gnu.org</A</A>> to find out all about GNU projects, software, and documentation. Now, if you can just narrow things down a bit, I'm sure I or someone else will be glad to help ;) Steven T. Hatton wrote:

Michael, Sorry, in my little world GNU means G++, make and the libs. Yes indeed, emacs and the like are also GNU. So what I am looking for is a list of g++ gurus. Or would that be gnurus? SORRY! :-D Thanks, Steve -- [<A HREF="http://counter.li.org"><A HREF="http://counter.li.org</A">http://counter.li.org</A</A>>] S.u.S.E. Well, there are 57 GNU usenet discussion groups, of which 6 are g++ groups, I bet if you pose a g++ question in gnu.g++.help you'd get some good answers. Steven T. Hatton wrote:
