[opensuse] firefox bug, emergency solution?
Hello, There is a bug in Firefox (right now and for some time) that makes it crash immediately. I beg it's at least sometime caused by a special page I tried to open. but after that firefox do not open anymore, crashing at anytime. opening an other session makes me lose any comfig and it's really boring. is there a command line argument, or file to remove in ~/.mozilla/firefox that could make it open witout the last(s) sessions? thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I found a solution: * start in safemode (--safe-mode), sometime this is proposed by the crash recovery system (not always) * go to extension and disable the session manager reload mozilla, should open in normal mode. I then changed the session storage folder, I hope to be able to remove manually bad sessiosn after that jdd -- http://www.dodin.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Try removing sessionstore.* from your profile directory before trying to start it again if starting it with cmdline option -safe-mode doesn't help. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." I will try next time. I have seen the session folder, but not the sessionstore file :-( thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
