[opensuse] Kmail mail merge
hi all I've been using a laptop to gather my mail whilst my main machine has been out of commission. I want to take this laptop mail and merge it with my main machine mail. Does anyone the best way to to do this? THere is no export option on kmail 1.13.6. thanks Ian -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Were you using IMAP or POP3 for your email account? You should always use IMAP ... then issues like this never come up ... Tejas -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

you can right click on the mails you want to export from your laptop (in the list view, select all and then right click) and then saves as ...mbox. Import that file on your PC (file -> import). Kmail will import the messages from the mbox-file into a new folder. Move the mais from that folder to where you want to have them and delete the import-folder. hth Daniel -- Daniel Bauer photographer Basel Barcelona professional photography: http://www.daniel-bauer.com erotic nudes: http://www.guapamania.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

hth Daniel Thanks. I'll give that a whirl. do you know if it will that maintain the settings of the mail e.g. if it was read before saving, will it show as read when restored? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

That worked quite well. Only issue is that the saving of the emails does not save the email status. Thanks -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
