Multi network configs for a laptop.
List, I have checked google etc and came across a util netenv, for allowing multiple network configurations on my laptop. Has anyone used it, how do I get it to start before my system configures it networking options? Thanks Jason. -- _____________________ Thanks. I do it the dumb, simple way: Edit /etc/pcmcia/network.opts, setting up each environment as a separate 'scheme'. When rebooting at a different location, where I need a different configuration, I pull the PCMCIA ethernet card from the slot during the boot, then log in as root (or su from my user), and declare the appropriate scheme with 'cardctl scheme xxxxx', then insert the PCMCIA ethernet card(s), and the network is initialized properly! -- Rick Green "I have the heart of a little child, and the brain of a genius. ... and I keep them in a jar under my bed"
