-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all: I have been trying to get a HP scanjet 4200c working to no avail. I have decided to end my frustration and get something that will work easily. My needs are for a scanner that will be almost plug and play on my SuSE 7.2 system. I need just a general purpose scanner with good scan quality for color scans. Also recommendations as were to buy would be appreciated. Thank you for your reccommendations. May I recommend the Epson 1200U, a USB scanner which I recently got for $105. It was quite easy to get it working in Linux and the scans are great. As far as where to get one, I can tell you mine is a refurb I bought on ebay. I recommend this seller: : "Circuit Depot" circuit@icubed.com if he has any left. *************************************************** Powered by SuSE Linux 7.2 Professional KDE 2.1.2 KMail 1.2 Bryan S. According to the Sane site, any Epson scanner should be okay, as they share their drivers with Linux develops quite readily. -- Best regards, Gary Today's thought: If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've never tried before.
