Hi, I'm running Suse 9.2 and 3D functionality seems to be broken. Every OpenGL program I run quits with a segmentation fault. Here's the output of glxinfo for example: something@else:~> glxinfo name of display: :0.0 libGL: XF86DRIGetClientDriverName: 4.0.1 r128 (screen 0) libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/r128_dri.so drmOpenByBusid: Searching for BusID pci:0000:01:00.0 drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0 drmOpenDevice: open result is 4, (OK) drmOpenByBusid: drmOpenMinor returns 4 drmOpenByBusid: drmGetBusid reports pci:0000:01:00.0 libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x24 libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x28 libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x2c libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x30 Segmentation fault something@else:~> How do I go about fixing this? Thanks, this worked. A big source of confusion for me was SaX2 changing XF86Config but not xorg.conf. I didn't notice that changes to color depth failed until I edited xorg.conf. ATI's specs claim 3D support up to 1920x1200 at 24bpp, but I discovered I can't go above 1152x864.
