I have only two continuing problems using 2.0.36
1. I cannot contrive to get DNS service on my client machine. My server works fine, but however I try to configure the client (with or without YAST), it refuses to resolve URLS.
Sorry, can't help here.
2. I cannot get LICQ to work. Maybe I'm just thick.
I couldn't get LICQ to work either. LICQ, whether compiled or a downloaded binary, would lock up my X so hard that I couldn't Ctrl+Alt+Bkspc out. The only option was a hard reset. If you're running KDE, get KICQ from the SuSE.com KDE FTP site. If you run GNOME, get GICU from the GNOME.org FTP site or a mirror. If you have GTK+ installed, but not GNOME, use GTKICQ, readily findable from freshmeat.net.
Any help with these two continuing problems would be cheerfully appreciated.
Additional:
I may soon install SuSE 6.2 to a new 9 G hard drive, and copy my configurations and /usr apps from my 6.0 install. What can I look forward to breaking? Thanks.
