Do you have gtk-qt-engine installed? If you do, try uninstalling it and see if it works. If it does then look at the gtk-qt-engine package and look for permission problems. Charles -- "Problem solving under linux has never been the circus that it is under AIX." (By Pete Ehlke in comp.unix.aix)
Thanks for your input. That was the problem. I removed gtk-qt-engine and got FireFox to open. On Saturday July 23, 2005 01:52 pm, Charles philip Chan wrote:

You'll probably want to get the newest version of the gtk-qt-engine that works with the current Firefox package so that the KDE function that lets you apply the colours and fonts that KDE uses to GTK apps. It probably a case of one getting updated and the other did not. I have both .. gtk-qt-engine-0.6cvs20050709-1.guru.suse93.kde34 and MozillaFirefox 1.0.6-3.1 installed and they work fine together. :) You can get the gtk-qt-engine pkg here... ftp://ftp.gwdg.de:/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/9.3-i386/RPMS.suser-guru Cheers. - Ben -- "There is no need to teach that stars can fall out of the sky and land on a flat Earth in order to defend religious faith."
