Hi,
I wonder if there is any updated version of sax that will cover voodoo 3 cards. The one from SuSE 6.1 only shown the choice of Banshee and that is.
Also, how is sax compare to XF86Setup and Xconfigurator, any comments are welcome.

I'm not trying to be harsh, but if you RTFM, the Banshee and V3 are based on the same 2D chips. On the other hand, even selecting the Banshee driver didn't do me any good. The SaX included in my copy of 6.1 reported that the chipset was still not supported. You need to run something like xf86config (command-line tool) and give it some bogus settings. This will make most of the necessary links for you. Install the xbanshee RPM from your disks, and `ln -s /usr/X11/bin/XFCom_Banshee /var/X11/bin/X'. If you are feeling adventurous, hack the XF86Config file by hand, or I could send you mine. :) Have fun! -=|JP|=- (Resident GNUbie) Jon Pennington | SuSE Linux 6.0 jon_pennington@excite.com | Kernel 2.2.7+ Kansas City, Missouri, USA | K6-2 350 ________________________________________________________________ Get FREE voicemail, fax and email at http://voicemail.excite.com Talk online at http://voicechat.excite.com

Hi Jon, Perhaps my message wasn't clear. MY Voodoo3 card don't have any problem with SuSE, I installed xbanshee.rpm then use sax to choice the Banshee card, everything just worked perfectly fine. What my problem is, recently I updated XF86 to 3.3.4 [was 3.3.3.1 before], when running XF86config I saw *Voodoo3* was present in the driver list, but when I ran the SuSE 6.1 sax I didn't see that, so I'm wondering if SuSE has any updated sax which will include new graphic cards selections. By the way, even with XF863.3.3.1 and SuSE 6.1 sax, I never done any hacking to the XF86Config file.
