[opensuse] How do I get Konqui to open w/ a blank page
I've tried for as long as I've had 10.3, quite a while now.. to get konqueror to open w/ a blank page and it always opens the last page, even when I tell it to delete the history.. It's weird. It either wants to open on Opensuse web page or any other last page open. I have hunted all the places where settings are usually hidden, or lets say put out of sight out of mind.. ( or reach for those who shouldn't be able to change things. ) Please help, it's driving me mad, however short that trip, I'd rather not have to go on it.. Try going to about:blank and then settings -> save view profile. Try this. Type about:blank in Konqueror's url text box, and enter. This should blank your page. Now Settings > Save View Profile "webbrowsing" to set it. Click in the address bar and type "about:blank" . Then use the menu option Settings -> Configure View Profiles , select the profile "Web-Browser" , ensure that the "Save URLs in profile" box is checked and click on the save button. Curious. There is no such setting in konqueror, as far as I know. To get it to open on a blank page, it should be enough to type in the URL about:blank and then go to Settings->Save View Profile "Web browsing" When you say it "always" opens, do you mean even when you click on the konqueror icon on the panel? Does it open the last page even then? I can imagine if it opens as the first window after login, and you had it open when you logged out. Because the default in kde is "Restore previous session" on login, it would open the same page you were at then.
