Hello, When running in init 3 (no kdm) and the vertial console is not being used the screen should go blank (black). This is the way it worked before I installed a nvidia TNT2 M64 card. Now when the screen goes blank it actually turns white. This kinda defeats the purpose of screen blanking. Anyone see this (screen turning white during screen blank) and if so how do I fix it. Is it possible to screen blank to any color? Note that this has nothing to do with my problems related to nvida and kdm. Thanks, Terry
You could try enabling APM and Enable console blanking using APM in your kernel. That way your screen powers off instead of simply blanking. hth,
