[opensuse] help with MPEG-1 in digikam
When I run digikam, I receive the following output when clicking on a movie file: ** Message: PackageKit: xid = 27263132 ** Message: PackageKit: desktop_id = (null) ** Message: PackageKit: Codec nice name: MPEG-1 Video decoder ** Message: PackageKit: ignoring field named parsed ** Message: PackageKit: field is: mpegversion, type: gint ** Message: PackageKit: field is: systemstream, type: gboolean ** Message: PackageKit: structure: gstreamer1(decoder-video/mpeg)(mpegversion=1)(systemstream=false)()(64bit) ** Message: PackageKit: Did not install codec: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.PackageKit was not provided by any .service files If I click on Image Editor the same file opens and displays properly, with no error messages. I presently have digikam running on two machines. It works as expected on one machine while the other presents the above error report. I have manually compared (under Yast2) the versions of ffmpeg, libavcodec and Gstreamer files between the two machines and they appear to match. By the way, is there an automated way to perform such a comparison? I have looked at the .service files, but I do not know to be looking for. I did not see org.freedesktop.PackageKit listed as a service on either machine.
