[opensuse] kde443 - still can't set color of system monitor widgets on desktop + middle-click closes tab broken
Guys, Back in kde4.4.3 to check it out. I still cannot set the color of my desktop widgets. It was easily done in kde 4.2-4.3beta, not for the past 6 months the ability is gone. I hate the dull gray default color. I have been through all the desktop activity settings and it just can't be done. So what is the trick. Is this just a bug that won't die? This is what I should be able to set the graph color on: http://www.3111skyline.com/dl/bugs/kde4/sysmon-kde.jpg Konqueror settings -> General -> Tabbed Browsing -> Middle-Click on tab to close it, does nothing? I clicked it to test, and there is no amount of middle-clicking on tabs that closes anything. Any hints? (don't worry, it just gets worse in kde4 4.4, [released last week on Arch] many new surprises :-) -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. To clarify, this is the GRAPH color, not the widget border color. I used to be able to set the graph color simply by rt-clicking the widget and choosing "custom-color". Where in the hell has the "custom color" color selector gone for the graphs? Did it just evaporate into thin air? What is the answer here? There is no reason it should take 6 months to get a straight answer here. What's the deal? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. I guess I should add a smiley so everybody knows I'm not pissed, just frustrated :p -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. Is that not theme dependant on that particular widget? I played around with different themes and that changes the appearance of the widget. The graph color never really changes though. Sometimes the widget developer seems to add and remove features at their own whim. Maybe this is one of those cases. I poked kde-look.org a bit, and couldn't find that plasmoid anywhere. Maybe it's a default one created by the KDE4 devs? I don't use the widget you showed as an example - I prefer the SuperKaramba widget and the Cynapsis theme. I've got full control over the colors with that widget :-) C. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
