[SLE] yast repos for KDE updates?
Hi List; I'm looking for a solid reliable yast repository for KDE updates (for Suse 10). It seems that none of the KDE repo's I have work any longer. Can anyone share their working KDE repo's with me ? Thanks -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

http://software.opensuse.org/download/repositories/ has a fair number of repositories for all sorts of software. In that list you have KDE and GNOME Note that the repo now has been split in two, so you have one for applications (called backports) at http://software.opensuse.org/download/repositories/KDE:/Backports/SUSE_Linux... and one for the base stuff, at http://software.opensuse.org/download/repositories/KDE:/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.0... -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

How come the 10.1 repos don't work? I try to add them in YaST as an installation source and they can't be created. -- Peace, Jake Sallee Network Engineer Telecommunications and Network Services Northwestern University Cell 312.246.3626 Desk 312.503.4598 jsallee@northwestern.edu -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

I guess you just get an error message in Yast when adding these sources. You can ignore them and it will work... regards (and Peace, too!) Thanks for the help but that doesn't work. It doesn't give you the option to ignore. It simply asks "do you want to try again?" and you can select "yes" or "no". I'm not sure why, but the linux.nssl.noaa.gov repository works fine, I'll just use that one until SuSE sorts their issues out. -- Peace, Jake Sallee Network Engineer Telecommunications and Network Services Northwestern University Cell 312.246.3626 Desk 312.503.4598 jsallee@northwestern.edu -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

They work for me, but as always, when you have one single server and 10^243 people trying to use it, things can get messy. Where is GNOME? Not the security updates and all. I mean the latest, as is done for KDE. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems AB Ramböll Sverige AB Kapellgränd 7 P.O. Yeah, sorry, I was a little careless with that comment. OK. I was expecting an empty directory as a place holder so I would know that this will eventually be where it is found. The absence of that made me wonder. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems AB Ramböll Sverige AB Kapellgränd 7 P.O.
