Make sure the xxxxxxx.so file has both read and execute permissions set properly so whatever user you're running Communicator under had access to the file.

Well, I have tried both permissions and a local plugin. The error I get is "Error File not Found", and then prints out the directory and file name (which has the file). The file has rwx for the world.
