Burning CD -- Help Needed
Hello, Back when I had SuSE 9.1 I had no trouble burning a CD using either cdrecord or K3B. Now I am using 9.3 and can't get it to work. K3B reports "no media" in s pop-up message. The message offers "force" as an option but when I select that it simply ejects the CD. Here is output from cdrecord:

This looks like your burner doesn't accept the disc. All burners have recorded in their firmware the types of media they accept. If you try to use a disc they don't recognize, they will refuse. It looks like that is what's happening here When I got my DVD burner, the first thing I had to do was to upgrade the firmware on it, otherwise it refused to use just about any discs at all So check the maker's home page for updates

But its the same drive and the same box of blank CDs that worked with SuSE 9.1.

Well, the drive is reporting that there's no media in the tray. Either the disc or the drive has something wrong with it then
